LEAVENWORTH SUMMER THEATER
The Sound of Music is performed yearly in Leavenworth Washington
Critically acclaimed Leavenworth Summer Theater offers several entertaining & exciting musicals “live, outdoors & under the stars”. Performances in July and August are at the Ski Hill Amphitheater, Hatchery Park, and at the Leavenworth Festhalle.

Other Arts Organizations in Leavenworth:
Art Adventure is a children’s art program that runs throughout the summer & is taught by local Leavenworth artists. It offers low cost art classes for children ($5-$20) for a 2-4 hour class, with supplies being funded through community & private donations. Classes start in June & run through August. Artist Guild of Leavenworth
Formed in 1999, the growing AGL membership is comprised of local artists representing the visual arts including painting, drawing, sculpture, metalwork, glass art, weaving, jewelry, ceramics, photography, scrimshaw & printmaking. The group organizes several shows & sales each year in various locations.
Cascade Select Choir
Award winning High School Select Choir which has performed annually Christmas Lighting for many years and for the Seattle Mariners.

Leavenworth community Coffee House
Coming back soon – Every Friday night brings a new artist to the Chumstick Grange Hall, 621 Front Street, Leavenworth, for acoustic folk music, jazz, old-time favorites & original music. Admission is by donation & is a nonalcoholic, nonsmoking venue. Website: www.leavenworthcoffeehouse.org
International Choral Festival
Leavenworth Choral Festival – The Choral Festival concert features five premier northwest choruses performing individually and as a massed choir of over 200 voices under the direction of Dr. Paul Schultz.
Cost: Adults $14 Seniors/Students $12 General Admission. Advance tickets for sale at the Leavenworth Chamber of Commerce.

The Grunewald Guild
Located on River Road in Plain, the Guild offers classes throughout the summer months, with an emphasis on combining art & faith in a community atmosphere. Students & teachers from all over the world travel to share their faith, spiritual energy & talent with local Grunewald Guild residents, Liz & Richard Caemmerer. www.artfaith.com
Icicle Arts was formed in 2004 as an umbrella arts organization in Leavenworth. The first task was to publish a quarterly calendar of events, listing visual, performing, and literary activities in the Upper Wenatchee Valley. Leavenworth Arts Alliance
The Arts Alliance was formed to improve the level of awareness of local artists in Leavenworth. Its goal is to assist in promoting the artist’s work, assist in marketing & selling strategies, connect with community gallery owners, government & community leaders & organize a yearly festival focusing on the arts.

Each summer LST offers several entertaining & exciting musicals “live, outdoors & under the stars” in several venues in Leavenworth. Marlin Handbell Ringers
A group of Leavenworth residents bring handbell music to the Bavarian Village with the Marlin Handbell Ringers. The group has two recordings & performs several times each year for local audiences.
This traditional German band entertains at all community events & Leavenworth festivals.

Organized for the encouragement, development & furtherance of cultural activities in the Upper Wenatchee Valley. The group fulfills this mission by encouraging new versatile programs, promoting the arts as a means of helping draw the community together & attempting to cater to the cultural tastes of as many as possible. Supported programs include Leavenworth Summer Theater, Leavenworth Arts website, Empty Bowls, student scholarships & Icicle Creek Music Center. Village Art in the Park

Exhibits by renowned professional & amateur artisans are on display in the city park Thursday through Sunday beginning with Maifest & continuing summer & fall.
