“Great First Trip”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2012

My daughter and I spent a lovely, relaxing weekend at the Icicle Inn. Staff was friendly,
attentive, helpful - very accommodating - gave us restaurant tips, called shuttles, put our
breakfast (great waffles) in take away trays when our shuttle came to take us to train.
Our room was awesome, nice view, SUPER comfy beds and amenities were refreshed
daily.
J J Hills offered nice selection of food at reasonable prices- we had 2 nice dinners there -
servers were very kind.
It was my bd weekend so we treated ourselves to a 90 minute massage at the spa. The therapists did a first rate job! We walked away feeling like Jell-O.
Was nice to utilize Jacuzzi and pool in the snow. We live in Hawaii and this was my daughter's first time seeing snow.
I highly recommend staying at Icicle Inn - great family inn.

“Thank you for our lovely wedding”

My wife and I decided to have our destination wedding in Washington State for personal reasons. After searching through dozens of venues across the state, we chose Icicle Village. Our search was difficult because we conducted it from out of state; however, we chose Icicle Village with confidence (sight unseen) because of Jeanne. After many phone conversations and emails, we felt comfortable with committing to your venue/resort for our ceremony, reception and honeymoon knowing that Jeanne was there. Upon arrival, She, Frank, their staff and the entire staff at the Inn continued to impress us and go way above and beyond our expectations. Thank you for our lovely wedding. We will always have a wonderful place to visit for our anniversaries to come!

“Fabulous all the way around”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2011

This hotel is such a great place to stay with the kids. It is always clean, comfortable, and the staff go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your stay. I especially appreciated the breakfast attendant's service. She smiled and chatted with us and made us feel very welcomed.

I really felt good about choosing this hotel over others in the area. The rates are very reasonable and rooms have everything you could need. Can't wait till we can get back there.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper room, the views are beautiful.

“Can't believe this was a Best Western!”

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Our room rivaled any fancier mid-range hotel I've stayed in. All the details were top notch - loved the layout of the room. We could of easily spent a day just at the hotel - between the big TV and fireplace, comfy 'living' area (would have been great for reading), board games in the lobby, covered pool...I think they have even more than that. The room itself (the Bach Suite) felt more like someone's very luxurious en suite bedroom, not a hotel room, which made me want to stay. View of mountain is lovely, and you can see it from the tub (a very cool bonus) - but you do have to look out over the parking lot and street. Because of how the hotel is situated - not sure how many rooms have views that don't involve pavement. Highly recommended for the money - a short walk to town but just what we needed to walk off the wine. :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bach Suite - highly recommended for a couple's winter getaway. Big tub, view of mountains (over a parking lot, but still pretty), fluffy robes, sofa and chairs, big TV, wet bar, fireplace (!! yay!!!)...we almost didn't leave.

“Outstanding”

"Outstanding!  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For many years we have stayed downtown Leavenworth.  NOT ANY MORE, we were so pleased with our stay at Icicle Village Resort, it will now be our point of destination.  We will visit you again in the spring and summer, and will plan to bring several couples with us again next November.  We loved how friendly the Icicle employees were, excellent breakfast, and clean a very clean room.  Thanks again for the stay.  We will look forward to seeing you in a couple of months."

“Family Fun Galore”

Leavenworth is such a fun town to visit. Bavarian theme is carried throughout - wonderful atmosphere. Best Western Icicle Inn is always warm and welcoming. Besides the great town which is only a 5 minute walk the putt putt golf, swimming pool and movie theater on site were great additions to our family fun weekend. We stayed at one of the condos - great space for a family - kitchen, fireplace, living room, dining room etc. etc. Ate dinner together, played cards lots of laughs. The hotel even had a spa which I did not have time to schedule. Very relaxing. Excellent !!

Room Tip: 2 bedroom condo was great for our family of 5.

“Warmth in Leavenworth”

I've been driving through Leavenworth yearly for a solid 20 years and this was my first time staying here. The updated rooms were very warmly decorated and consistent with the coziness and spirit of the town and the pillow top bed was amazing! Since the down closes up a tad early for a young couple, it was handy to have food available and a DVD player in the room. Very pleasant experience!

Room Tip: Tumwater views face the canyon (no water is visible), and the sun reflects off the mountains in the morning beautifully! The higher the floor, the better!

“Recent Hotel Stay”

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Icicle Inn. What a wonderful experience. As a frequent traveler I have stayed at many hotels around the world and the old world charm and friendliness of this hotel surpassed my expectations. From the warmth of the lobby, to the service of all staff it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend this hotel to families, business travellers, or anyone who wants to step in a hotel that understands service and delivers quality at all levels.

“JJ Hills” - What a fabulous restaurant. I had the London Broil and the the meat was cooked to perfection and the presentation was stunning. What a fabulous meal

“Great for groups! (dept retreat, wedding, reunion)”

I just brought 80+ people here for my department's annual retreat and we were very happy with the experience. In fact, we hope to come back next year! The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The staff are professional, good humored and go out of their way to make everything as you wish. We had a superb lunch quiche buffet out on the lawn (in the gorgeous tent with mountain views) and then a delicious dinner in the ballroom (chicken, halibut and a veggie option). Pools and tennis courts are in great condition and there's an onsite movie theatre, mini golf and video arcade. Nights are quiet - great night's sleep. The venue is newly renovated and it shows - pristine condition, great dining porch. Downtown Leavenworth is 5 easy blocks away and even closer by is a playground and the easy hike along the Wenatchee River.
Room Tip: Everyone in my party liked their rooms - can't go too wrong!

“Great hotel with quaint charm.”

As a professional traveler, it isn't very often I am impressed by a hotel. This hotel did just that. From the warm welcome at the front desk, to my beautiful four poster bed (which was amazingly comfortable), to the checkout, service was impeccable, yet warm & sincere. Additionally, the room, the hotel & the grounds were very clean. Great hotel in a great location.

“Summer Vacation Package in the Aspen Suites”

"The gals at the front desk appear to enjoy their jobs and each other. Very welcoming and friendly. Our young boys were entertained thru breakfast by watching the train. Staff was so friendly and helpful. food and service was excellent! I LOVED the idea of the movie theater but we spent more time in the pool and didn't make time for a movie. Golf was fun too. Beautiful, well thought out rooms. Steps from the pool, absolutely perfect for us! Excellent service, helpful, informative, we were offered condo instead of hotel... the experience was amazing.

The extra touch of having the kids summer treat bags and helium balloons attached to their packages when we walked into our condo put your service over the top! It was so fun developing the film on the camera to see the vacation from my sons perspective. He's almost 3 and took so much pride having his own camera. You covered every detail and your service brand radiated throughout each part of your property. We will be back for sure! Thank you.

“I Do Allot of Travel”

"I do allot of travel across the US to major cities and found your hotel to hold it's own in terms of service and in most cases the room and amenities when comparing to Embassy Suites, Intercontinental and Marriott. The room was quiet despite being over the pool and close to the lobby. I have stayed at hotels that supposedly are higher rated and gotten a much poorer night's sleep. The breakfast buffet was as good as Embassy Suites and Residence Inn. Overall it was a nice experience and when we come back to Leavenworth, we will plan on staying with you again... "

“I glanced on the net looking for a venue that could handle our group and once I spoke to Jeanne' we were set"

"Every year we organize a motorcycle benefit ride, this year we selected the Icicle Inn. From the very start Jeanne' was so great to work with, we communicated well right up to the event and all went smoothly. The accommodations for all the attendees was top notch. Everyone raved about the food, I personally over ate!!! The salmon was so tasty I think I had thirds... We dined in the J J Hills restaurant and found Happy Hour to be awesome. The hot breakfast that is served daily is great as well. I cannot find one single thing to say negatively about our group's stay. On a scale of 1 to 10, the Icicle Inn scored a 12. Again, I cannot say enough about the hospitality and the friendliness of all the staff. It is an event that everyone will remember. A sincere thanks and please contact me if you need too. LB"

“Found a gem at a conference”

"My husband was in charge of a conference here recently. I was impressed by the hotel staff (especially Jeannie) who accommodated our every need. The food was made by the chef and was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room was the Beethoven Suite and it was beautiful. It had a fireplace, sitting area, soaking tub, king bed and a patio. All rooms have a fridge, microwave and DVD player. The kids in our group had a great time at the arcade, movie theater, putt-putt golf and 2 swimming pools. The adults enjoyed being able to walk to town for shopping (parking in town is hard to find). The conference rooms were great for our group meetings and the staff (Frank) was always hard at work to make sure we had everything we needed. There's so much to see and do in Leavenworth (shopping, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting) and this is a centrally located hotel to stay. This will definitely be our hotel to stay at every time we return to Leavenworth (for business or pleasure!)
Room Tip: Get a suite!"

“The place to stay in Leavenworth!!!”

We have stayed at this hotel several times and each stay has been outstanding. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. The hotel is always very clean, even the guest laundry is spotless!! They have added a full bar to the restaurant as well as a new restaurant menu. They have new room furniture. Free internet and WiFi in the rooms as well as in the hotel library is a big plus. They also have coffee and tea available all day and night in the lobby and as a tea drinker I appreciate the fact that the hot water doesn't taste like coffee as they don't mix the hot water and coffee carafes. The free breakfast is hot, fresh and delicious. Sausage gravy the best and the scrambled eggs are made from real eggs, not the nasty powdered stuff. This hotel is extremely well maintained and has an variety of activities in the amusement area next door. Miniature golf and video games appeal to a wide variety of tastes. An excellent hotel and value.

“They put the BEST in Best Western!!”

This was our final destination for our 34th Anniversary and it was most pleasant from check in to check out.
I had booked a package and was definitely thrilled with how every thing went.

Our suite was gorgeous, but yet very comfortable and inviting. I can't think of anything else a person could want in this room.

We received a couples "hot rock" massage, that was absolutely the Best, and they were very in tune with what we needed, Relaxation!

Dinner was at J J Hills, the restaurant in the hotel, and I must say the food was delicious and the waitress was delightful. The morning complementary breakfast buffet was also a treat with Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and pastries. Yum, I wanna go back!!

Everything was awesome! Very clean rooms, fitted sheets on the bed (not flat sheets like other hotels). Dog friendly! Yummy breakfast, fun center was great! Lots to do at this hotel!!!! They even have a questionnaire in your room. One of the questions was if you owned the hotel what would you change? Very quiet hotel. This was our first time in Leavenworth. Wow this must be the best hotel in town. Their website is awesome! Tons of great information for travelers!! There are a lot of hotels in town but many look old and need to be updated!

“Great Experience with Great Treatment” -  BEST WESTERN PLUS Icicle Inn

If you are looking for a warm and friendly atmosphere, walking distance to down town Leavenworth any time of year this is the place to stay.

I and my colleagues have and will continue to use the Icicle Inn as the site for our DECA Fall Leadership conference for over the past 6 years. In fact we have already booked them for next Fall and Winter. Their attention to detail and friendly staff have and will continue to keep us coming back. So much so that we typically extend our stay and bring family members in to join us.

As a conference coordinator, the staff has been the best I have ever worked with. They are always wiling to make sure our needs are met often before we even ask. We also choose to use it many times in the winter for our state conference. We regularly bring 80-100 students who also stay with us.

In the many years we have been coming to the Icicle Inn we continually feel like we are coming to visit an old friend.

“Great food, friendly staff” -  J. J. Hills Fresh Grill Restaurant

Our experience at J. J. Hills was awesome. Our waitress, Beth, helped us with the menu suggestions, drinks and answered every single question we had about Leavenworth and the activities going on. This was our first year at Leavenworth so we had a lot of questions. If she didn't have the answer she would soon appear with a flyer, bus schedule etc. The food and drinks were delicious! The breakfast buffet included with our condo rental were very worthwhile.

“Relaxing and enjoyable, yet exciting and fun. Overall, a beautiful Stay” - BEST WESTERN PLUS Icicle Inn

Two of my girlfriends and I wanted to get away for the weekend to Leavenworth to see the lights and snow and just have a relaxing getaway. However, we are all in our early 20's and wanted to have a "fun and exciting" girl's weekend in this small town. We took the Amtrak bus from Seattle and were dropped off just seconds away from the front of Icicle Inn. It looked beautiful and quaint and the service was excellent. The room was clean and had all the comforts and amenities you would want in a hotel room. The front desk even gave us free shaving cream, razors, and toothpaste because we forgot ours! When it was time to go into town, we were pleasantly surprised to find that our hotel had a free Trolley to take us to and from downtown Leavenworth! We spent the day shopping and dining and that evening we found the only bar in town that stayed open later than 10 (The Loft). Our hotel arranged a Taxi home for us and we went swimming in the heated pool with a dome cover to protect us from the snow! The continental breakfast the next morning was the best I've ever had with homemade waffles, bagels and cream cheese, cereal and pretty much every other hot and cold breakfast item! Icicle Inn continued to surprise us by giving us a late checkout of 12:30 pm so we could catch our bus back home at 1pm. Thanks for a wonderful time! I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family anytime they wanted to have a great stay in Leavenworth.

“Nice, clean, and friendly, down to earth service. Highly recommended!” - BEST WESTERN PLUS Icicle Inn

My mother, sister, and I came to Leavenworth, Washington as part of Mom's German Club activity. Stayed at the Icicle Inn and we enjoyed everything about it. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with a nice large fridge and microwave and the beds and pillows outstanding. The continental breakfast was top quality, pretty much the best you'll get for a free breakfast (eggs, sausage, yogurt, Danishes, toast, English muffins, Belgium waffle makers, juice, milk, and excellent strong coffee). And the restaurant had a great selection of tasty foods for dinner. They have board games you can play, a really comfortable and inviting lobby and an extra space upstairs to lounge around. The pool was covered in a cool inflatable type tent to protect from the elements. There's a cinema right next door and in the summer a miniature golf course. Easy walking distance to the cute downtown of Leavenworth. And the staff were all very friendly in a really genuine way. I travel all the time and this is the first time I've rated a hotel. I highly recommend the Icicle Inn!

Great resort for the family or a couples getaway! - Aspen Suites at The Icicle Village Resort

"Have stayed at the Aspen Condos several times and each time has been great. The resort is at the edge of town, meaning we don't have to deal with the crowds and parking and can just walk there. The condos are beautifully furnished and has plenty of room. The prices are a real deal for a two bedroom condo with a full kitchen and living room. Each room had a flat panel TV and there was a gas fired stone fireplace in the living room. As the other reviewers have written, there is a lot to do on the property, but we love all of the outdoor activities in the area. We've gone whitewater rafting, hiking, cycling, etc. The summer theater shows as well as the concerts down at the Icicle River Music Center are all worthwhile activities. Just a great place to vacation and relax!"

“Only the best in personalized, caring service”

"No matter what staff we talked to, they were all extremely helpful, always gracious.  A few years ago we came for a visit and it seemed Icicle Inn was going through some growth changes.  Our experience then was that the feel of personalized service was not there, perhaps you had grown too big for that.  This visit we experienced only the best in personalized, caring service.  We loved being there, will plan to return when we're ready to be the guest instead of the innkeeper!

At JJ Hills Restaurant & Wine Bar the servers were excellent, running like crazy to accommodate our big group (WBBG) and it's just that there weren't enough servers for our large group.  But we were amazed they got it all right and while crazy busy, still very gracious.

No problems with our room. The bed was so comfy!

Since we are innkeepers at our own B&B, sometimes it feels good to go someplace else, not a B&B, so we don't have to be looking and wondering how this or that would work at our own B&B.  We have stayed at Icicle Inn several times over the last few years.  You have made some changes, all for the good.  The ladies at the desk are so welcoming and obviously seeking to make the guest's stay most enjoyable.  That means allot! We loved that! "

Condos are set to back of property and you are allowed full use of all resort amenities, no deposit required as compared to other units available in town. Complimentary breakfast was first class. Wi-Fi in rooms. Icicle Junction is an amusement centre on grounds with a snack bar inside, able to purchase light snacks for evening cravings. The grounds are well maintained and an extremely peaceful feel. We did not want to leave. Can't wait to go back."

“Good choice for Leavenworth”

We spent one night at the Icicle Inn with friends, we had 2 rooms on the 3rd floor and 1 room on the 1st floor (one of the rooms that allows dogs). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room, the lobby and adjoining restaurant (JJ's) were spotless and immaculate, and I thought the bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast (free with the room) was one of the best we've had included at a hotel. It included eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, yogurt, sweet rolls, etc. Plentiful and good.

We had dinner at JJ's, the adjoining restaurant. I would like to put in a good word for our server, Christy, who was so friendly and pleasant. She made our dinner (which was delicious) even more enjoyable by her friendliness, and even taking time to chat with our group for awhile.

From a guest in the Aspen Suites Condominiums:  I don't know her name, but there was a young Hispanic woman who served in the breakfast bar area, fairly petite, who was extremely polite and helpful. She smiled a lot and had a great attitude.
At the Icicle Junction Activities Center The cookie dough chocolate chip (not quite the right name, but close) ice cream was excellent and easily the best bargain in town. Superior to the Cold Stone stuff.
Wife enjoyed [Therapeutic Touch Massage & Wellness] and came back very relaxed.
Wonderful stay. Very relaxing. The rooms were very nice and met our needs .

Nice Place to Stay

Thank you for a nice place to stay. We would recommend you to anyone visiting the area.
Room was very clean, looked like it had been recently repainted and new carpet installed. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent...Coffee was very good.

One of the Top Notch Spa's in Washington

I do not remember her name but she greeted us upon arrival in the spa, 6/26 and was very apologetic about a time mix up, (which turned out to be my mistake) loaned me her glasses since I had forgotten mine. The overall experience was wonderful and I will highly recommend Therapeutic Touch as one of the top notch spa's in Washington. Thank you for a making our much needed "girls night out" special.
One of the best massages, if not the best I have ever had. Christina is one worth the travel and expense to come and stay there on regular basis.

Updated Decor Goes a Long Way

New, clean carpet does wonders. Beds were comfortable and this was a big selling point. Room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Updated decor goes a long way in creating a good impression

Essential Key to Our Success

Apparently, this guy LIKES working for you! (maybe worth saving this for the employee appreciation party?)

You guys were top notch! We tried some new things this year, and your entire staff bent over backwards to help us our - even with the ODD request or two (or three).

Thanks again for your assistance and hospitality. Though at times unseen, you guys are an essential key to our success at putting this conference together.
I look forward to working with all of you again next year.

(Thank you for taking such good care of our groups Frank!)
