Leavenworth Chamber April 2007 Newsletter

60 degree weather has melted the snow and the apple trees are beginning to blossom, the wildflowers are popping up everywhere. It's a spectacular spring with a variety of events to please everyone. Many migratory birds are back. Due to an incredible snowfall this winter, the white water rafting promises to have it's best season ever. Artists are calling to reserve their tents for Art in the Park.

Leavenworth Spring Bird Festival May 17-20

Come welcome the migrating birds. The Osprey, Meadowlark, White Crown Sparrow and Sharp Shinned Hawk are just a few of the recent sightings. Activities for the Leavenworth Spring Bird Festival include science programs, wildflowers, conservation, multicultural and arts events. Guided trips range from strolls to active hikes. Fun for all ages.

Leavenworth--Art In the Park

The white tents that indicate the summer art season will once again grace Front Street Park in Leavenworth, WA. Beginning in May and running through Oktoberfest, artisans of many different mediums will be available to chat with you, one on one, as you peruse their work. What better setting than the Bavarian Village to stroll the many specialty stores, eat at fine restaurants, taste great wines, enjoy good music, attend a play, raft the river, and experience an up-close-and-personal outdoor art show?
