It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the magical Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington. Fo our Christmas Lighting Festival as the day turns into dusk, a lone lighted star floats down the street and as it passes each shop the lights magically appear everywhere. Huge trees in the park sparkle with thousands of lights above. Children sled down a lightly snow covered hill laughing with delight. Christmas characters mingle and pose for photos. Bavarian store fronts glitter with decorations and twinkle with lights. Christmas music echoes through the air.

If you haven't been to our Christmas Tree Lighting before you are in for a real thrill. A&E chose us as the "Ultimate Holiday Town" and the "Good Morning America Special" that covered our lighting festival brought tears to our viewers eyes as they felt the magic of the moment.

This year to add to your holiday experience we are providing excellent Christmas performances all three weekends. You can reserve your performances and rooms now. We are open 7 days a week for your convenience and keep a current list of the lodging facilities still open whether your preference is a B&B, a motel, a condo or a cozy cabin.
 

Christmas Lighting Festival Extended to Sundays

We are presenting a FULL lighting of the park and the buildings on both Saturday and Sunday to allow more of you to enjoy our celebration. 2006 is Leavenworth’s Centennial Year and this is our 40th Annual Christmas Lighting Festival. This will be the best Festival you have ever experienced!

DEC 1, 8 and 15th you are welcomed at 5:00pm with live Christmas music. St. Nicholas arrives at 5:30. Enjoy shopping in our 90+ specialty stores then enjoy a Christmas concert with our local choral group--Village Voices in our Festhalle--located conveniently right downtown.

Saturdays the opening festivities start at 12:00 with continuous live Christmas music until 4:30 when the LIGHTING CEREMONY BEGINS! Enjoy roasted chestnuts, visiting with the local Christmas characters and choosing that unique gift that you can only find in Leavenworth. We have Christmas Concerts each Saturday night starting at 8:00 PM

In addition to the festivities downtown you can enjoy a sleigh ride and snow conditions permitting just 1 mile from town is our local Ski Hill where the kids can enjoy a rope tow for skiing or our tubing hill.
 

 

Debbie Fortnum Christmas Lighting Concert

Late Tuesday--A Special Christmas Performance

Late Tuesday is a trio of talented Northwesterners: Dana Little, Tara Ward and Jocelyn Meyer "...their music [is] non-generational, mystical, melodic, beautifully harmonized - which would appeal to everyone from young to 37 year from young." - Entertainment News Northwest

Holiday Harp Concerts

BRONN AND KATHERINE JOURNEY – The amazing sounds from Bronn’s harp blended with Katherine's beautiful soprano voice create Christmas Concerts which will delight you, providing an evening filled with beautiful music and wonderful Holiday memories

Leavenworth Village Voices

Christmas in the Mountains 100 Years December 1, 8, 15 at 7:30 p.m. & 2, 9, 16 at 2:00 p.m. – at the Festhalle on Front & 10th St. Ticket Price $5

Leavenworth Village Voices and talented guest artists present their annual Holiday Concerts. This year’s concerts are in honor of Leavenworth’s Centennial. They are sure to get you in the spirit of Leavenworth’s magical, mountain holiday season.

 

Alpen Folk--Multi-Media Performance

AlpenFolk presents the music and folklore of the Alps, with authentic instruments, singing and yodeling, here is alpine music the way it was meant to be played! Button accordion, hammered dulcimer, zither, bass and guitar combine to give AlpenFolk its unmistakable, irresistible alpine sound. This special multi-media performance takes us on a journey through the Alps.
